Oh, I know, it's been forever... LOL but I absolutely needed to share this...

Andy Helms over at Atomictoy has tasked himself with creating a Dude-A-Day for a year. His illustrations are hysterical and feature sci-fi, fantasy, horror and film favorites as well as characters from his imagination. Check back with his project regularly!

This so made my day... together with the alien and his bag of sisters!

EDIT: I have just found out that he has a livejournal bangalores where he posts all his dudes! :)

Hi! :) Posting another BSG wall... I guess I can call it an Adama wall since in the end I put in Lee too but it was meant to be and admiral wall only since he is my fave character right now! <3 <3 He is the right man for every situation... LOL

Tonight I'm going to my first Sigur Ros concert in Milan... and it's raining buckets... I'm a little worried! @_@ Rainy weather sets a perfect mood for this gig but it's an outdoors concert.................. keep your fingers crossed for me!

Pre-air pilots

So... some of them are already out there... I watched Fringe (and I really liked it) and I watched True Blood (I wasn't expecting anything from it but got quite impressed)... have you anything else to suggest that I souldn't be missing? I keep losing track of all the shows coming out text fall... all I know is that I kept saying to myself "oh! This is interesting! I need to watch it!" but have no idea if those shows are going to air this fall or mid season, hell, I don't even remember those titles... uff! I can't wait for all the new sci-fi shows for example, but I think it must be too early for pilots.

I'm glad because last year I didn't really get into any new shows apart from Life and Terminator....... and that sucked!

Sooooo... tell me everything about the new pilots you have watched or looking forward to... :)

Not sure what I made here... I think newkidfan is the one to blame for it! :P She talked about the last challenge over at artwordand I really loved the idea. Not being a fan od SGA I simply picked one of my fave SPN fanfics and did something with it. I'm the only one to blame for the blinding colors though... :P I fought with it for days... I don't know if the result is good or not... but surely was fun to make! :) I only wish I could have come up with something better for the "circles" part... but after two days of trying everything I just had to go for the easiest solution... buh!

The fanfic I used is titled Unbroken by the wonderful Sodakey. She writes the best SPN fanfics ever... <3 <3

I'm putting together random icons... I guess I'll be able to post a new bunch sooner or later next week... :)

Damien Rice: Ten Days to Barcelona

Just two days left... and I'll be free from this crazy job. And I'll be on vacation... for a long time I guess. This means I will be able to start posting icons and walls again soon... :)

In the meantime I'm posting something from Damien's official site in case anyone missed it.... :) this makes me so happy and excited!! <3

On June 1st 2008, myself and my friends Ryan (images) & Mia (navigation) set off on a last-minute road trip from Dublin to Barcelona, squished into my little ol' mini with a portable recording studio. The idea is to stop off along the way in random places where I have to write and record a new song every day, either in the mini or outdoors on a rock or something. 10 days = 10 songs = album Nuevo. We'll update as we go... if we're anywhere near an internet connection that is. We hope to arrive in Barcelona on June 10th, or at least in time to go see Radiohead play on June 12th and then fly home for the Leonard Cohen dates. Yay!

And now we finally have the first trailer... I already know one of them is going to die in the end... but it's okay. I just need to see this movie... LOL

I don't give away my love easily to singers but I must really tell you that right now I'm loving this man almost as much as I love Damien Rice. Which tells you a lot! :) Fan of Damien on my list are probably going to like David too... because in some kind of way I find them very similar.

Oh my soul, so much fun! Lovely crazy, exciting and colorful toy! I can't believe how much I loved it! :) It was exactly what I was hoping it to be!

Yeah, yeah, I'm always dreaming of Damien... LOL, it's true! I could stare at this pic all day... and it was took at my after show in Milan... priceless! :)

<3 There is no way to tell properly how much I love him (and his awesome band) and his music... too much love... it hurts my brain and my heart... or maybe it was just the Rome sun that almost killed me... LOL
It's just that my brain can really focus or grab all the emotions of this week... it still feels like it happened to someone else.

So, I watched the season finale of Lost yesterday and it rocked my socks! Woah... you can say whatever you want about this show but in my humbel opinion it is still the best... the most original, smart and daring! YAY! :D YAY for Jack! Need to make some icons soon!

On other news this week I'll be attending my two Damien concerts... one in Milan and the other in Rome! My heart speeds up just thinking about it! And it will be my first time in Rome and my first time travelling alone... I'm a little nervous. :P

I'm back from a small vacation! :) I'm happy and rested... but unfortunately I have no idea what to icon.........
I was looking for "Vanity fair" caps but wasn't able to find anything around... sigh!

So, if you feel like requesting an icon go on... I obviously prefer iconing something that I know and like... so take a look to my interests before asking something specific. Or simply leave a comment here and I'll take a look at your interests and work out something. If you want an icon from a movie or a show or something I don't know please post a couple of links to high quality pictures you want me to use. :)

Maybe you noticed... but I've totally vanished from the LJ land for the past 3 weeks. My job almost killed me! LOL But give me to weeks and I'll be back having nothing to do all day; at least till a new job comes around... or I decide to take a small vacation to the seaside! :P

Anyway... I hope everything is fine with you friends! :) I'm still dealing with my little Damien Rice obsession and this means I'll see him in concert again this July in Milan and in Rome! YAY for two concerts in three days! :D

Anway... I worked on two walls using the song Fool... one of my absolute fave! <3 Here they are... I think they look quite good! :) A lot of red and yellow, I know... they are my Damien colorus I guess! Let me know what you think about them!

Official statement from Damien:

After much thought and discussion Damien has decided that his professional relationship with Lisa Hannigan has run its creative course. As a result Lisa will not be appearing at any of the upcoming live shows. Lisa is embarking on her own artistic endeavours and there are no plans for them to work together in the foreseeable future. The current band on tour at the moment are - Damien Rice, Joel Shearer, Shane Fitzsimons, Tom Osander & Vyvienne Long.

I'll never see them perform live together then... it's a bit sad but I will survive I guess.

So, isn't it funny that Lisa decided to quit the band just two days before my concert? Well, I surely didn't feel like laughing the moment I figured it out... I actually felt like crying! :(
I don't want to scare anyone... there is no official word about what happened between Lisa and Damien so we really don't know much... just some rumors. But there was no Lisa at the Munich and Milan show... let's keep everything crossed because even if Damien is an amazing and talented song writer some of his songs wouldn't be so special without Lisa's amazing voice.

Anyway... I left for the concert with an heavy heart but you can bet that I when I left the venue I was totally out of myself with joy and love for Damien! This was easily the best concert of my life. The whole performance was flawless (apart from Damien messing some of the lyrics of Accidental Babies... LOL) and his voice sounded so good... Even without Lisa it was an awesome breath taking show... especially the songs he played at the piano... <3

I still can't get over how beautiful it was... how awesome and talented and funny was Damien. I had listened to some live recordings in the past but they really don't do him justice. What a beautiful voice... *sigh* How am I suspposed to start a new week of work now? LOL I can't set my mind on anything... and for the tension of the night my neck now hurts like hell... LOL
I was so worried about the whole Lisa thing. Mostly I was worried to find a moody and upset Damien... but he looked fine to me... and spent a lot of time smiling and talking about the songs... so in the end it was quite stupid for me to worrie so much! :P I would have loved to have Lisa there but the show was totally breath-taking even without her!

When he started singing my head was pulsing like my heart had just moved there... it was my first Damien concert and I was totally out of myself!
At first I was mad at people taking so many picures since I know how much it makes him mad... but the people at the venue made them stop... or at least I think they scolded to everyone was using a cell to record the show. I think the crowd was very respectful in the end.

Random stuff:

- in accidental babies he totally messed up the lyrics twice...:P but both the intro and the long ending at the piano went on forever and were absolutely beautiful!
- he started playing woman like a man but his guitar was out of tune so he started fixing it and since it took him some time, Vyv started palying with shadows on the wall and helped with her hand Damien's shadow... Unfortunately he decided to change the song after that and played Amie (not that I don't like Amie... but would have loved to hear Woman like a man too!).
- He talked a lot... but at a certain point he wondered if anyone in the crowd talked English because we were all too quiet I guess... :P he told us the usual story for Amie... a long story for Volcano (but I missed part of it because of my far from perfect English) and he also introduced I remember and Coconut Skins... which was my fave! About being a kid and wanting to dig a hole to get to the other side of the earth... it was lovely!
- I'm so glad he played some songs that aren't on the records... I adore Rat (and I spent the whole night singing it in my head without being able to get any sleep) and Sand was totally amazing. It's a little more up beat than the usual Damien's songs... and I really can't describe how wonderful was "What this night is for" ending with a sad Sleep don't weep... I had tears in my eyes!

He will be back in July for another gig in Rome... and my friend lives just a few minutes away from the venue... I have never met her (we have talked through the net for the past 7 years) so this is the perfect occasion to meet and spend some time together and to see Damien live again! I love looking forward to concerts...

Damn... I seriously need more... and I need to marry him... and yeah... I'll shut up now! :P
